AROD has been helping
disabled person
to
stand on their feet
AROD was inaugurated in 1990 to satisfy a
felt need of the disabled people
of the Jaffna
District. We observed several
people of this
area were affected by the war
and became
disabled.
The two decades of war in the northeast of
Sri Lanka
has resulted in the emrgence
of hundreds
of
physically and mentaly disabled
people -
especially
Children and young adults.
These people needed a hand to lift them and
make them
stand on their own feet.
AROD's aim is to help the disabled to stand
on their
own feet and free themselves
from dependance.
